About
We're here to provide support, advice and action on Domestic Abuse
Who we are
The Suffolk Domestic Abuse Helpline is an initiative from Suffolk County Council and is supported by many partner agencies all working together to provide support, advice and action on domestic abuse. Together we make up the Suffolk Collective.
The Suffolk Domestic Abuse Helpline was set up to offer a local solution to the National Domestic Abuse Helpline, run by Refuge, to provide local support, advice and action.
how we work
Anglia Care Trust (ACT) have partnered with Suffolk County Council to deliver the Suffolk Domestic Abuse Helpline. ACT man the 24/7, free, confidential phone line and direct calls appropriately.
ACT is a multi-service charity based in Ipswich with one of their services being Domestic Abuse Outreach Support. They offer services such as Housing, Drug and Alcohol Recovery and Money/Employment Advice as part of their remit which makes them qualified to offer support, advice and action to callers.
ACT will either offer advice or will:
-
Offer support and action via their own Domestic Abuse Service
-
Signpost to other partner charities/agencies
-
They will run a refuge search via the National Domestic Abuse Service.
